Biology is more than a subject — it’s a way of thinking.
In this course, you won’t be spoon-fed shortcuts or study hacks. Instead, you’ll explore biology through curiosity, logic, and conversation — developing the kind of deep thinking that stays with you long after the exam.
Taught by Dr. Abdalla Zanouny, an award-winning educator who has taught biology and genetics at the University of Houston for the past four years, and previously at the University of Wisconsin, this course offers more than just content. Dr. Zanouny is the recipient of the 2024 Excellence in Education Award from the National Association of Biology Teachers, and is known for transforming complex science into engaging, high-energy learning experiences that challenge students to ask better questions, think deeply, and truly enjoy the subject.
Whether you’re homeschooled or enrolled in AP Biology at school, this course is designed to stretch your mind — and sharpen it.

“He is the best professor I have had in all my time. I had him for both of my biology course requirements and I will be very sad to not have him again. He made me really like Biology which is a class I always hated and did not find interesting before his classes.”
“I know that people say that biology is supposed to be hard but how he taught and the homework he gave us made the class very easy and understanding and it was easy and fun too”
“I know that it is really easy to express gratitude to my biology teacher for helping me develop an interest in biology because classes have never been this engaging. The teaching methods and strategies used in the class are systematic and methodical which in turn helps students understand difficult concepts.”
“He is one of the reasons why I am not worried about the coming generations that will enter college. He is the change we wish to see in this world! We love you Dr. Zanouny!!”
“I would take this professor a thousand times over. This class was amazing, and the best possible class to take!!”
